Firestone director resigns

COLIN McIntyre has resigned from South African coal company Firestone Energy.

McIntyre joined the board in 2009 to provide an independent technical and commercial perspective at the early stages of development of its Waterberg coal project.

Since then, he had been helping formulate strategy and develop key milestones.

McIntyre is a mining engineer, mining manager and company director who had held executive management positions with Western Mining Corporation, National Mine Management and Macmahon Contractors.

He was also non-executive chairman of Tectonic Resources and Perilya.
