Condon, who has extensive experience with major accounting firms, will also serve as a member of the company’s audit committee and the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee.
He acquired 7651 shares of Cloud Peak stock and became 10% owner the day of his election to the board.
Cloud Peak chair Keith Bailey said the company looked forward to Condon’s insights and contributions.
“Pat has a strong and diverse background that includes leading audit and consulting engagements at large companies in the energy and other industries and leading established operating units and shared services organizations in professional services firms,” he said.
Cloud Peak is one of the largest coal producers in the US and operates three mines in Wyoming and Montana.
