Sanders joined the company’s team after more than 26 years with equipment maker Joy Global.
He was most recently the OEM’s corporate marketing vice president but had also served as manufacturing manager, supply chain vice president and managing director of both the China and the Americas business units.
Strata officials did not indicate his effective date but noted that the University of Nottingham and University of Pittsburgh graduate would be tasked with driving the growth and alignment of its proximity business across the globe.
“With over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, [he] brings strong market understanding, manufacturing know-how and international business development experience to Strata Worldwide and its proximity systems,” the company said.
Strata Worldwide’s product line includes wireless communications and tracking systems, emergency mine refuge chambers, secondary roof support products, proximity detection systems and mining construction services.
