The company said the complex was that of an international mining company and GelTech’s Soil(2)O dust control product was selected over two other technologies following a four-day visit by its chief technology officer Peter Cordani.

“We believe Soil(2)O dust control can be the cost-effective, environmentally friendly solution to mitigate airborne dust for their mining operations worldwide,” chief executive officer Michael Cordani said.

“In addition, during his trip Peter was able to educate our customer on the many ways FireIce can be used by mining companies in their fire safety programs."

GelTech’s products, invented by Cordani, include patent pending fire suppressant FireIce and GelTech Soil(2)O.

Soil(2)O is a non-toxic soil conditioner and dust abatement product, stopping all types of particulate matter from entering air and water.

Soil(2)O granular and topical blends can reduce water consumption up to 50%.

FireIce, a medium-term retardant, can be used in fire extinguishers as well as pumper trucks, aerial units for wildfires and home defense units.
