Officials said its management team was in the final preparations for the shipment and transportation for the coal sales, having completed the shipment of samples to several unnamed customers in China for the evaluation and testing of coal type, quality and specifications and had received approval of the product for use in their coal-fired plants.
To that end, Universal Bioenergy has signed an agreement with a transportation consulting firm specializing in transportation, supply and distribution logistics to assist with coal contract negotiations.
It also has signed a deal with another unidentified firm to act as its agent for the acquisition of seaport terminal facilities and related cargo handling and storage services, and the firm is in direct negotiations with several seaport terminals throughout the US to secure terminal space for cargo handling and stevedoring services.
“We feel very positive about the rapid pace at which are moving forward with the international coal division,” Universal president Vince Guest said, who added all major work had been completed and it was waiting for the consultants to complete their tasks.
“The potential revenues and earnings from the sale of coal to the international markets opens up great opportunities for us.”
