It has created VirtualGround 3.0, which is designed to provide realistic material response, digging resistance and visual appearance.

These are all crucial details when it comes to training and assessing shovel operators.

VirtualGround 3.0 takes advantage of recent advancements in computer science and has been included in Immersive’s Caterpillar 7495 Rope Shovel simulator.

The more realistic ground simulation has been incorporated into SimControl, the software at the heart of Immersive’s simulators, such as the PRO3-B, and will be progressively enabled in other machine groups beyond shovels.

The Cat 7495 simulator development was completed under the exclusive alliance between Caterpillar and Immersive.
