Thanks to a finding from the Workforce Investment Act, the Kentucky Career Center has implemented a “Rapid Response” program for the workers from the Henderson County operation to provide careers training or help pursuing other opportunities.
Some of the presentations on offer include resume assistance, testing to meet job requirements and understanding unemployment insurance.
The sessions will be held November 15 at 3pm and 5pm at the mine headquarters office on State Highway 1078 South, in Henderson.
WIA’s “Rapid Response” is a free early-intervention service for businesses and workers impacted by layoffs and plant closures.
