Industrial Scientific's charter

GAS detection player Industrial Scientific has become a charter member of the Campbell Institute.

Noel Dyson

The Campbell Institute is the center of excellence for environmental health and safety at the National Safety Council. It was launched last month at the NSC 2012 Congress & Expo.

The institute was founded on the belief that environmental health and safety excellence was essential to business sustainability and operational success.

It is a natural progression of the international Robert W Campbell Award.

Industrial Scientific is one of 18 companies in the institute that use safety as a transformational strategy to improve quality, productivity and overall performance.

“Joining the Campbell Institute is one of the best things we could do to deliver our vision of eliminating death on the job by the end of this century,” Industrial Scientific chairman Kent McElhattan said.

McElhattan also is chairman of the NSC.

The NSC was founded in 1913 and chartered by the US Congress in 1953.

It is a non-profit international public service organization committed to preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads.
