“We are proud to be recognized for the second consecutive year,” SunCoke Energy human resources vice president Gary Yeaw said.
“It is an affirmation from Chicago’s NABR chapter and from our employees that SunCoke is on the right path to creating a strong and collaborative culture.
“Since becoming an independent company and going public two years ago, we are in the early stages of our company’s development.
“This recognition encourages us to keep striving to nurture a work environment in which our employees can do their best work and achieve solid business results while maintaining satisfying balance in their lives.”
The 101 best and brightest competition is run by the NABR annually in cities across the country to honor institutions that exhibit outstanding human resources programs.
Applications are reviewed and scored across an array of categories including communication, employee education, diversity and inclusion and employee achievement.
The awards will be presented at a luncheon on August 5 in Oak Brook, Illinois.
The event will provide an opportunity for selected businesses to showcase their company’s employee and human resources best practices, participate in a series of interactive educational programs and network among peers.
