“The formation of Clipsal Moeller Industries brings together 130 years of expertise in the Australian market and an incredible industrial product range all backed by a vast network of sales representatives and strong technical support staff. All your industrial needs can be answered by one name, Clipsal Moeller Industries,” said general manager (designate) of CMI, Maher Kharoufeh.

He said the partnership combines the strengths of both companies and would enhance the range of industrial products and services previously available separately from Clipsal and Moeller in Australia.

Equipment supplied by CMI will include moulded case circuit breakers, motor-control switchgear and motor control centres, electrical protection and isolators, including load-break switches.

CMI also announced their appointment as the exclusive agent for the Marechal range of mining Decontactors. The product offers three-phase power up to 250 Amp and is inherently safe.

"The Marechal range of Decontactors is generally regarded as the benchmark in the industrial and mining markets throughout the world. Marechal products have been widely used in Australia and New Zealand for over 30 years," the company said in a statement.

Kharoufeh said that securing the new exclusive distributorship for Marechal products was consistent with CMI's aim to be a market leader in the supply of technically advanced and highly reliable electrical products.

"This is another major step in establishing the new standard of service which we at CMI are committed to providing to our customers in the industrial and mining markets," he said.

Over the next few months CMI expects to launch new accessories for the DSN and DXN ranges of Decontactors. CMI product manager Georg Turin said the DSN range offered simpler installation and easier manoeuvrability and that the DXN range will be a significant step forward to hazardous areas applications.
