The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce said the marker, on the courthouse lawn, would be uncovered on April 5 in a dedication ceremony.
The service will also be cause to remember the miners lost the blast in nearby Montcoal.
The memorial marker was funded through a partnership between the chamber and the Raleigh County Commission as well as a state grant, according to reports.
The marker is not far from the Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial Park in Whitesville, which was dedicated last July. That project was volunteer-funded.
UBB was operated by Massey Energy at the time of the explosion, but the property and all other Massey assets were obtained by Alpha Natural Resources in June 2011.
