The New Jersey-based company said the location on Highway 75 near the Tri-Cities Regional Airport would serve southwest Virginia through Knoxville, Tennessee.

The branch will be managed by current Charlotte, North Carolina branch manager Adam Nichols.

“This area has been a growth target for Xylem for a number of years,” Xylem southeast regional manager Jarrod Williamson said.

“We have had strong support in the region from our Charlotte … location, but are now ready to give it more direct attention.”

Williamson said that the company’s focus in the area would be diverse, from industrial and utility work to heavy highway contractors, aggregates and more.

The Blountville facility has a 15,000 square foot shop and 3000sq.ft of office space, three dock and nine drive-in doors as well as three acres of paved yard space.
