A COAL train has derailed in Stafford County, Virginia.

Noel Dyson

According to the Potomac Local News, no injuries were reported.

The good news is that the train was travelling on a secondary track.

This means the derailment will not affect Virginia Railway express community trains or Amtrak services.

A portion of Caisson Road where it crosses the tracks is expected to be closed.

It is not yet clear what caused the derailment.
