The US-based manufacturer announced on Tuesday that the DuroSite and SafeSite LED floodlights had been designed for demanding and hazardous locations such as minesites.
The 14-inch by 14in light delivers 10,750 lumens at 107 watts, which is about a 100 lumens per watt efficiency.
The light is available in various US National Electrical Manufacturers Association optical configurations to provide precise beam angle options and has a T5 temperature rating for ambient temperatures ranging from minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 149F (minus 40C to 65C).
“Dialight’s expanding portfolio of hazardous location and industrial LED fixtures has earned us an international reputation for innovative product design that continues to exceed our customers’ demanding lighting requirements,” Dialight group chief executive Roy Burton said.
Burton said the LED floodlights featured advanced 20 kilovolt surge protection, tempered glass lenses and powder-coated aluminum housing with a corrosion-resistant finish to ensure safe operation in a wide range of volatile environments.
The lights have both North American and European testing, health and safety certifications and Dialight said they would soon have ATEX/IECEx zone 2 and INMETRO zone 2 certifications, as well as additional higher lumen packages and asymmetrical optics.
