The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • establishing and maintaining Longwall electrical maintenance regimes, safe work procedures and setting spares practices;

  • providing technical engineering support and coordination for Longwall projects, equipment upgrades and major equipment overhauls:

  • preparing and reviewing short and long term Longwall electrical maintenance plans to ensure availability and reliability is achieved and sustained;
  • auditing and monitoring Longwall electrical equipment to ensure it is safe for operation and complies with statutory and production requirements;

  • assisting in the development and achievement of Longwall safety, cost, and production targets.

Necessary attributes:

  • Applicants must possess or be in the process of obtaining an engineering qualification

  • Previous experience repairing and maintaining Longwall mining equipment is mandatory
