The new entity will provide operations and services including MV & LV switchgear; mining substations; switchrooms; automation and control; SCADA; information systems and turnkey projects. It will continue to serve current customers and will retain all current employees the company said.
Bruce Higginson, i.Power Solution’s manager automation and project services said "the new entity will continue to deliver professional engineering, contracting and project management services based on our identified core competencies.
“i.Power Solutions will offer an integrated solution to its customers who want to deal with the one supplier dedicated to meeting the needs of the Australian market. We have a dynamic team of electrical and software engineers, technicians and tradespeople who will provide specialist services in switchgear, power systems, automation, information systems and on-site services.
“To enable greater efficiency, customers will have one point of contact from project inception to completion. Regardless of the size of the project, as a dedicated solutions provider, we can ensure that your interests will be our priority", Higginson said.
Joachim Gildner, i.Power Solution’s general manager Switchgear said “Our initial focus will be to consolidate our position in the Australian market by providing high quality electrical products and services backed up by our commitment to provide on-going after sales service and support to our customers. Customer interaction and feedback is critical.
“Our goal is to become the predominant force in electrical engineering within Australia. i.Power Solutions also plans to aggressively market its products and services to selected overseas countries where opportunities exist for our range of specialised products and services”.
"i.Power Solutions has a solid financial base, a sound management structure and will continue its close relationship with Schneider Electric," Gildner said.
In early April, i.Power Solutions will be relocating to a new purpose built office and factory located in Brisbane’s industrial suburb of Hemmant. The Moranbah and Mackay offices will continue to provide customer services and support from their current locations.
