The program will be held on April 23-25 in Salt Lake City and has been designed for safety and health professionals as well as frontline and senior managers, consultants and any employee interested in accurate problem solving.
“Our center’s philosophy of safety and health excellence through systems, culture and leadership optimization makes this more than a basic course on incident investigation and root cause analysis,” organizers said.
“This 'whole systems' management technique increases the effectiveness of investigation strategies. Through hands-on analysis of industry case studies, safety and health professionals and corporate managers learn how to incorporate the latest investigation techniques with corporate leadership principles.”
The training, which will incorporate experimental learning via case studies, is both for employees new to incident investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) and experienced professionals looking for a refresher course from a current perspective.
The practical aspects of the incident investigation process will be covered, as will various techniques for conducting RCA.
The use of RCA data assessment for safety and health management system effectiveness and culture enhancement will also be stressed.
