Minemax dives into Denver

Acquired during the recent SME 2013 conference, the new Denver facility includes consultant offices, a boardroom and training spaces.

“It is a fantastic new office and a great location that will particularly suit many of our existing customers,” Minemax founder Jim Butler said in a statement.

“We share some additional facilities with Metal Mining Consultants, who are Minemax Gold partners, and this provides a great deal of synergy for both companies.”

Lambert comes to Minemax fresh from completing his PhD in Mineral and Energy Economics/ Operations Research and has previously worked as a consultant to industry and served in the US Marine Corps.

“Brian’s technical depth and background in decision analysis and business consulting will significantly benefit Minemax users in the region,” Minemax commercial manager Phil Edmiston said.

“We are very glad that he has joined the team and believe he will make a tremendous contribution to Minemax and our customer base,” he added.

Minemax specializes in mine planning and scheduling solutions and has its headquarters in Perth, Australia.

“Our solutions cover the whole spectrum of strategic and operational mine planning, and they help mining companies achieve production requirements, maximize resource utilization, and optimize business value,” the company states on its website.

The company also said in the statement that a mining engineer with be joining the Denver office in May.
