The Family Coal Rally will include speakers from the industry, live music and entertainment for all ages.

Senator Mitch McConnell, Congressman Ed Whitfield, Alliance Coal president and CEO Joe Craft and Kentucky Coal Association president Bill Bissett will speak at the event.

There will be giveaways and prizes, including a free gun raffle for all coal miners in attendance and iPads and other prizes in a raffle for all attendees.

A table display made by local school children will examine “how coal makes our lives better” and Barry Potter and the Hosscats will provide live country and gospel music.

The Family Coal Rally will take place Thursday, September 5, at the Hopkins County Fairgrounds in Madisonville.
