BMT said the Pulse TerraMetrix system has already been deployed in three Chilean mines, increasing productivity levels through optimized efficiencies.

Unlike other payload monitoring systems, which apply electrical parameter estimation techniques to approximate the payload, Pulse TerraMetrix uses a loadcell-based device and directly measures the inertial and dynamic loads applied to the dipper.

As a result, more accurate payload measurement is maintained even under severe dynamic loading conditions.

BMT called its payload system, coupled with Fintech’s maintenance and system integration capabilities, a comprehensive service partnership for its customers.

Last week, BMT signed on to supply Teck Resources with Pulse TerraMetrix for the miner’s Greenhills metallurgical coal operation in southeast British Columbia.
