The system, which debuted officially at the MINExpo event last month in Las Vegas, features a cast or plate lip with shrouds and a three-piece tooth system designed to maximize productivity in hydraulic excavators in the 300-800 tonne ranges.

Larger sizes for cable shovels and draglines will be rolled out between now and October 2013.

Esco says the lip design and ground engaging teeth require 10% less force to penetrate and have up to 19% more usable wear metal.

Nemisys also weighs 7% less than typical systems.

Integral hammerless locking devices on points, adapters and shrouds and improved ergonomics make the system safer for customers.

Esco says a 20% larger thrust face area allows for better reliability and a contoured lip reduces peak stresses by a minimum of 12%.
