The event is set for April 1-3 at the Penn Stater Conference Center at State College. It aims to bring together mining safety and health stakeholders from the eastern mining communities for motivation, networking, idea sharing and education.
Some of the sessions planned for the event include noise/dust issues, fall protection/fall arrest, ground control, task training, managing contractors and maintaining a safety culture of prevention.
The Northeast Mine Safety and Health Conference executive committee is a 501(c)3 charity headed by members of industry and government agencies as well as four elected officers from the mining community.
