SUPPLIER of management information systems Qmastor will install its QMASTOR technology at BHP Bil...

Staff Reporter

The QMASTOR system will provide real-time tracking of coal quality and quantity through the stockpiling and coal handling operations on site.

The company said the system would provide enhanced quality scheduling of coal export cargoes being delivered to Port Kembla.

QMastor managing director Trent Bagnall said this was an exciting project for Qmastor. “West Cliff Colliery is central to the long-term plan for coal production for BHP Billiton in the Illawara region,” he said.

"The arrangement being finalised between the two companies demonstrates QMastor Ltd's ability to deliver significant cost reductions to our customers."
