The August 17-18 event will be held in conjunction with the COAL-GEN exhibit in San Antonio and will be headlined by Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Kennecott Energy.

The ACC’s annual PRB Coal Use Seminar on Risk Management Strategies and Tactics will feature presentations from coal suppliers, utilities, transportation companies and industry consultants on critical issues and best practices for handling, storing and consuming PRB coal.

Power plant managers, utility engineers, fuel procurement managers and utility-coal industry executives are encouraged to attend.

The ACC will also host a special pre-seminar workshop on PRB Dust Control & Fire Prevention: Fundamentals of Control Options.

The workshop will feature presentations on dust control options and fire protection measures for utilities using PRB coals. Confirmed presenting companies include GE Betz, Martin Engineering, Dust Solutions, Air Control Science, GE Environmental Services, Utility Fire Protection, and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
