Pine Valley eyes increased output

The company recently filed a permit to increase output from 900,000tpa.

Pine Valley has finished commissioning the majority of the equipment at the mine, except for its coal preparation plant, to be completed in 2005’s northern autumn.

The company said it expected to finalise sales contracts covering 1.4-1.7Mt for the year ending March 2006 within the next month.

Sales contracts for the coming year will be for about 1.2Mt of PCI coal and a small

quantity of coking coal.
