The installation includes the Peak Downs, Saraji, Norwich Park, Gregory, Blackwater and Goonyella Riverside mines.
The AMT Collision Avoidance Camera System (CAS-CAM) improves operator visibility by eliminating blind spots around heavy surface mobile equipment.
After trials of CAS-CAM at BMA’s Blackwater mine, the miner selected AMT’s product as the most suitable system to reduce potential collisions between heavy surface mobile equipment, light vehicles and stationary objects.
“The awarding of this contract follows the successful rollout of the CAS-CAM technology at Anglo’s Collahuasi mine in Chile and the installation of trial equipment at minesites in Australia, Indonesia and South America with a number of major multi-national mining companies,” parent company Industrea’s chief Robin Levison said.
Industrea mining products and services include underground and surface directional drilling, contractor management, mobile asset tracking and driver safety performance index.
