The acquisition also means Weir can now offer their customers an expanded range of crushing equipment, Weir minerals director of strategy, sales and marketing Fred Bradner said.

For existing Trio customers, the acquisition sees Trio products supported and developed by Weir Minerals’ global resources and network, Weir Minerals global product manager Kurt O’Bryan said.

“Trio, as part of Weir, continues to deliver reliable technology as they have in the past,” he said.

“In addition, existing Trio customers benefit from the tremendous global service network that Weir offers at a level few competitors can match.”

All customers have access to a large network of expert service professionals and more than 120 service centres across the globe.

Trio global service manager Eric Jones said: “Being part of Weir adds scale and reach to the Trio offering which enables us to be there for customers whenever they need us.

“It provides the customer with a level of assurance and support which is hard to find from most other equipment suppliers.”
