CHINAS mine safety agencies plan to recruit 100,000 coal mine safety supervisors in a bid to regu...

The All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety to date have appointed 70,000 miners as safety supervisors, China View reported.

Current coal miners are being targeted to take up the positions as they would have a “direct stake in their working conditions, especially their safety”, the ACFTU said.

The supervisors would have the authority to evacuate workers in the event of a safety risk or danger.
