The Thiess national awards ceremony will be held in Brisbane on Tuesday, September 2, as part of a national strategy to ensure the mining sector has the required skilled employees for a strong future and to enhance the industry’s performance through a more inclusive and gender balanced workforce.

The event is being run in tandem with the annual Inspire! Convention, a professional development day in Brisbane for women in the resources sector.
The keynote speaker is BHP Billiton Carrington asset president Laura Tyler.
