Production at its four opencut operations totalled 763,000 tonnes for the September quarter, 6% less than the same time last year; however, sales were up across the board with a total of 497,000t sold by the company during the period.

The forward focus for Gloucester remains on land acquisitions over prospective areas and converting resources into mineable reserves with the company expecting to release an updated JORC resources and reserves statement early next year.

It also hopes to capitalise on the expansion of its washery from 3.2 million tonnes per annum to 4Mtpa capacity and the addition of new product handling facilities at its sites.

On the exploration front the company plans to expand its operations and seek growth opportunities outside the Gloucester Basin.
