EDMS subsidiary GOS Drilling will drill a number of deep coreholes at the Hunter Valley mine.
The holes are the first stage of an extensive program at Integra’s underground mine for a UDR 1000 rig for up to six months.
An additional rig may be mobilised for the contract when it becomes available.
EDMS said the Vale contract enhanced its operational presence in the Hunter Valley.
Yesterday’s contract will be added to a previous conversion of the Xstrata Coal Queensland trial at its Rolleston operation in the Bowen Basin into a contract.
EDMS was trading steady at 16c this morning after closing up 3.23% yesterday.
