Like its predecessor, the MLC 9000, the product is a modular, multi-loop temperature control system which uses up to eight loop control modules for each bus control module.

The communication module options include Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus (process field bus), CANopen (controller area network), Ethernet/Internet Protocol and Modbus/ Transmission Control Protocol systems.

Control modules are available with one, three or four loops while heater break inputs are available on the one and three loop modules.

The multi-loop temperature control system can work as either a stand-alone system or in programmable logic controller environment.

ACE said it offered the lowest cost per loop and smallest size in the industry, and the highest number of field bus protocols.

The next generation of the product also features an “easier to use PC configurator for enhanced application versatility”, plus an enhanced tuning algorithm.

“The MLC 9000+ provides exceptional temperature control and performance – regardless whether you are using multiple discrete controllers or an embedded PLC temperature control – to ensure that machine output and machinery is not compromised,” ACE said.
