Traditionally, McLanahan has supplied, installed and supported mining operations through licensed agents. Now the company has taken the step to set up its own entity with its own team of highly qualified and respected personnel from within the Australian industry.

McLanahan Corporation CEO Michael McLanahan announced earlier this year that the Australian operation had signed a manufacturing and support agreement with Roche Mining.

“Through Roche Mining’s extensive resources of both personnel and infrastructure, McLanahan equipment will be manufactured and serviced at locations convenient to our clients,” said McLanahan.

Under the agreement McLanahan Corporation will be responsible for the marketing, sales and engineering activities of the full range of McLanahan product whilst Roche Mining will provide manufacturing, spare parts storage and inventory services, distribution of spare parts, field service and overhaul services to the full range of McLanahan equipment.

Roche Mining will use its own facilities in Kalgoorlie (Western Australia) and has access to other Downer EDI facilities located in Geelong (Victoria), Rutherford (New South Wales), and Gladstone (Queensland).

The Key members of the Australian management team, based in Newcastle, include general manager Jon Bentley, national sales manager Brad Anstess and engineering manager Rod Wilson.

McLanahan offer crushers and feeder breaker equipment to the longwall industry.
