The company said it will immediately begin negotiations with the whole staff of Sandvik SRP AB – an office responsible for the production of mobile crushers, screens, and stationary feeders.

The supplier said the move resulted from a slowed demand for mobile crushing equipment and its long-term strategy for a concentration of resources and expertise in England and Northern Ireland.

Last week, Sandvik announced the appointment of Ola Salmen as its new chief financial officer and group executive. He replaced Per Nordberg, who resigned from the seat and the company in Stockholm last year.

Sandvik, based in Sweden, has close to 50,000 employees in 130 countries and manufacturers tools and equipment for coal mining and rock excavation, metal cutting and machinery, and also produces special alloys and ceramic resistance materials.
