Peabody’s Commercial and Global Development group will continue its work to expand the operator’s global platform.
Working under Peabody president Rick Navarre will be the Asia president, who is yet to be named; Asia operations development senior vice-president DL Lobb; Peabody China president Tayeb Tahir; and a not-yet-appointed Peabody marketing and trading president.
Peabody’s Operations group, which oversees the company’s global operations network and has responsibility for new mine projects, will continue its work under the leadership of chief operating officer Eric Ford.
Reporting to Ford will be Charles Meintjes in the new position of Midwest and Colorado group vice-president; Powder River Basin and Southwest group vice-president Jeane Hull; Australia group vice-president and managing director Julian Thornton; operations project development group vice-president Kemal Williamson; operations planning vice-president Alice Tharenos; and safety vice-president David Beerbower.
The producer has established a new Technical Services group to bring together technical and operations support for its global portfolio. The executive vice-president for that group has yet to be named.
Working under this individual will be engineering services senior vice-president George Schuller; a still-unnamed project development senior vice-president; a supply chain management senior vice-president still not appointed; asset management vice-president Steve Beamer; a continuous improvement senior vice-president who has not yet been chosen; and applied information technology vice-president Gary Kalbfleisch.
Mike Crews will remain as Peabody’s chief financial officer and Sharon Fiehler will remain as chief administrative officer. Keeping the seat of law and chief legal officer will be Alex Schoch, while Fred Palmer will continue as the senior vice-president of government relations.
Finally, Vic Svec will hold the seat as Peabody’s investor relations and corporate communications senior vice-president, reporting to CEO Boyce.
