The old ore is on the mine's run-of-mine pad for processing in the future.

With relevant approvals in hand Tulla kicked-off construction of a 1 million tonne per annum CIL plant by firstly demolishing the old plant.

Demolition and site clean-up works are complete and the site ready for immediate construction, with contractor GR Engineering Services already mobilised for the start of the build.

Construction workers are being accommodated in a co-living village in Norseman owned and operated by Resource Accommodation Management.

Tulla shares a 50% interest in the Central Norseman gold project with Pantoro.

The historic gold project in Western Australia's Goldfields has produced more than 5.5 million ounces of gold since 1935.

The 50-50 joint venture is keen to exploit the project's known resource of 21 million tonnes graded at 3.4 grams per tonne for 2.3Moz, and attributed ore reserve of 357,000oz - on a 50% basis.

Tulla executive chairman Kevin Maloney said construction of the plant marked an exciting milestone for the company on the critical path to resume production at the iconic Norseman gold project.
