Major civil works are 90% complete at the Dolphin site with diversion and base drains built and construction moving to the tailing's storage facility walls.

The TSF is being built on the old TSF site, using materials reclaimed from within the proposed mine open cut.

Most of the crushing, screening and material handling equipment and associated supporting structures are also up, with electrical installation in progress.

Gekko Systems has sent 95% of its equipment from its manufacturing plant in Ballarat and that gear is being prepared for installation. Gekko will work to get the equipment ready for commissioning in early 2023.

Group 6 Metals managing director and chief executive officer Keith McKnight said construction activities had rapidly increased pace over the past six to eight weeks despite challenging construction conditions through the winter months.

"Longer and warmer days will be welcomed with the onset of summer, which will benefit the project greatly as we progress to construction completion, commissioning and first concentrate in March 2023," he said.

"Construction has commenced on stage 1 of the TSF with installation of the clean water diversion drains and foundation works for the walls.

"The TSF access roads and walls are being constructed from rock mined from inside the open cut pit shell, which is an efficient use of material that would otherwise be mined as part of the mining sequence.

"Works are also progressing well on other mine infrastructure areas such as the process water treatment facility, diesel power station, workshop, site office and tailings pumping."
