EEM 2005, taking place October 17-18 at the Sofitel Wentworth, incorporates the previous NSW Explorers and Miners conference and brings a global perspective to the mining industry. The conference will mix industry views and trends with company presentations and includes over 40 presentations - put together by the editorial committee from the Mining Journal - and 30 exhibitors.

The event is being marketed worldwide in over 50 countries and is supported by the Sydney Mining Club. Several government delegations from Asia have been invited to present and attend.

Event sponsors are Martin Place Securities, Intierra, the ASX and Rio Tinto. Corporate presentations from the cream of Australian mining, including: Kingsgate Consolidated, one of the most successful miners in South East Asia; Sino Gold, a pioneer in China and now in gold production; Consolidated Minerals one of Australia’s most successful mining companies; CBH Resources one of NSW’s fastest growing mining companies; Bolnisi Gold mining in Georgia and exploring in Mexico with favourable drilling results; Allegiance Mining in Tasmania which is developing the first nickel mine there for 20 years; and Teythan which is developing the largest copper/ gold deposit with BHP Billiton in Pakistan. Additionally there will be presentations from Oceana Gold; Alkane Exploration; Vulcan Resources; Malachite Resources; Anvil Mining; BMA Gold and Republic Gold.

EMM 2005 aims to bring miners to money, and investors and bankers to mining in an environment where all groups can network and understand the market both in Australia and abroad.

“Australian miners and mining companies are some of the best in the world and pioneers in mining exploration, mine development and mining technology,” said Chris Innis, chairman of the conference organizing committee and a director of Mining Communications.

“EEM 2005 seeks to bring investors closer to a great Australian success story and a business that defines and celebrates Australia’s wealth and rich past. EEM 2005 is about mining and money. If you are an explorer or miner be there, if you are an investor this is the place to learn more and benefit from mining’s growing impact on Australia’s wealth.”
