Haulage and continuous miner technology will also be on display.
Joy Smart Services will be introduced demonstrating state-of-the-art machine monitoring and support services available from Joy.
P&H Mining Equipment will be unveiling its new ultra-class P&H 9030C walking dragline and a high-capacity overburden handling In-Pit Crusher Conveyor.
MineARC Systems
IN response to international success with its mine rescue shelter solutions, US and Australia-based supplier MineARC Systems has developed and will show at MINExpo the Coal SAFE (Safe Area for Evacuations) unit that includes both a powerless scrubbing and cooling system.
The specially designed MineARC refuge chambers are fitted with three breathable air systems, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) scrubbing systems, an airconditioning system to keep metabolic heat build-up down, and digital gas monitoring capabilities. Each also features self-testing under manual or automatic options, photo imaging and remote diagnostic oversight, a toilet and a UPS battery backup.
“After learning of MineARC’s international success, the United States Government and mining industry leaders in the US met with MineARC to gather information for devising safety strategies for its underground mines after a spate of fatal mining disasters that claimed the lives of 14 coal miners in separate tragedies throughout 2006,” the company said.
“MineARC thoroughly examines site requirements, product customization, training needs, and ongoing support. All of this ensures that the product is used to its full potential and that the client’s goals and objectives are met.”
Currently, the company’s units can be found in operations in Australia, the US, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sweden, Ireland, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Mongolia, Peru, Burkina Faso, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Argentina, Mexico, Tanzania, Papua New Guinea and France.
United Mining Equipment
Three years after launching the prototype of the product at Longwall USA 2005, United Mining Equipment will unveil its new cap lamp at MINExpo.
“The cap lamp has prompted growing interest from coal mines looking for a longer lasting, lightweight lamp,” officials for UME said.
The 16-hour LED, Li-Ion battery unit’s technology was developed through its pairing with New Wisdom Investment.
