QME 2010 will be held at the Mackay Showgrounds from July 27-29, with related events to be based at the new Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC).
“As of mid-March, we have signed up more than 450 exhibitors and have sold around 11,000 square metres of exhibition space,” QME exhibition manager Soren Norgaard said.
“Our message for suppliers of products and services to the mining and resources sector is that if you are considering participating in this event, you need to act quickly to secure a place or you may miss out.
“Today, QME is regarded as far more than just a trade show – it’s an opportunity for everyone involved in the resources sector to network at all sorts of levels.”
In addition to the exhibition, a number of related events will be held in Mackay during QME week.
These include the QME Mining Industry Conference, to be held at the new MECC adjacent to the showgrounds on July 27 and 28, and a major networking function on July 27 (the Tuesday night, and first night of the show).
This networking function will be open to conference delegates, exhibitors, customers and others involved in the mining industry.
“Visitors don’t only go to QME and Mackay to look at new equipment and services; they come along to see and hear what is happening in their industry, to share information and ideas, and to meet and discuss issues with their peers,” Norgaard said.
QME is owned and operated by Reed Exhibitions Australia.
