Brayan is MST's new CEO

COMMUNICATIONS networks provider Mine Site Technologies has appointed Mark Brayan as CEO and MD.

Brayan most recently served as CEO and MD of communications software provider Integrated Research, where he doubled the size of that organisation during his six-year tenure.

In 2012, Brayan was recognised as Executive of the Year within the IT category of The CEO Magazine’s annual Executive of the Year Awards.

“It’s an exciting time to be taking the helm at MST,” Brayan said.

“Operational optimisation has emerged as a key priority for mining and resource organisations, which are looking for technology to help them optimise output, minimise cost and reduce risk.

“MST provides the communications networks and much-needed insight into operational metrics to drive better decision-making from the mine to the boardroom, making the ROI on our solutions particularly compelling in the current challenging economic environment.”

Brayan’s previous roles include MD and COO of Talent2 International, and he has held various management and sales positions in Australia, the USA, Europe and the Middle East with leading organisations, including BMC Software and Intergraph Corporation.

He holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Surveying (with First Class Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

Brayan will be based in the company’s global headquarters in Sydney.

MST is recognised globally for pioneering built-for-purpose technologies for the mining industry which are now used in hazardous underground and surface environments at over 500 sites worldwide.

This includes technology which tracks and monitors heavy vehicles and personnel in order to identify opportunities for improved processes and productivity, higher asset utilisation and increased safety.

“We’re seeing increasing demand and new applications for MST’s proven technologies within the wider industrial environment,” said Brayan.

“This is a key growth area for the company.”

MST founder and director Gary Zamel said: “Mark Brayan’s extensive experience across the corporate enterprise sector and broader industrial markets gives him a depth of management insight which will not only be of benefit to our current customers, but will also be invaluable as we take the company through the next stage of its evolution.

“He has demonstrated the exceptional leadership skills necessary to successfully execute on our vision for the future.”
