Nano polymers up the game for RST

NEWLY developed Reynolds Soil Technologies nano polymer technology has been successfully incorporated into RST’s product range, boosting the effectiveness of the Avenger Coal, Avenger Hard Rock and Avenger Shield haul-road dust suppressants.

The technology has also been added to RST’s Titan liquid polymer road stabiliser, as well as their premium products RT4 and RT5 Superskin crusting agents for rail wagon veneering, stockpile and exposed ground applications.

The Liquid Damseal for dam wall and floor sealing, Sedibind for sediment and erosion control, Flock It Liquid Concentrate for water sediment treatment and Drill Boss for drilling fluid additive will also benefit from the nano polymers.

RST operation and technical director David Handel said through continually improving products and services the company has further developed our initial nano polymer range and created a “generation two” of products.

“Our initial goal was to reinforce RST as a leading globally environmental compliance specialist company by continuing to minimise our carbon footprint, developing new technology which greatly reduces the amount of product required for each of our solutions benefiting our clients greatly,” Handel said.

“The improved properties have many beneficial flow-through effects both environmentally and performance wise because the products are being solubilised 100% effectively every time, for every application, under many varying conditions.

“These super-boosted products are highly cost effective and offer greatly improved material handling, dilution properties and faster, more effective results, for a wider variety of applications across a range of environments around the world.”

RST’s “generation two” nano polymer range is now ready for use in dust control, soil stabilisation, erosion control and water management programs including sediment treatment.

RST has more than 26 years of experience specialising in dust management, soil stabilisation and erosion, water for mine sites, civil projects, ports and land sites in Australia and overseas.

The company’s head office is based at Burleigh Heads, Queensland and it also has an office in Carlisle, Western Australia. Internationally, RST works in South and North America, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Europe.
