New technology on show at QME

Along with new technology, visitors can also expect a number of new features at QME this year designed to propel the Australian mining industry into the future.

These will include a live demonstration program, business matching program and a targeted seminar series, which includes a first for the expo - the QME Thought Leadership Panel will take place from Wednesday afternoon 27 July to discuss the future of the international and domestic coal mining industries.

The panel will be officiated by the Queensland minister for mines Anthony Lynham, who will be joined by a number of esteemed industry experts taking part in the ticketed event.

Panelists include World Coal Association’s Chairman and Glencore’s Group Executive - Coal Assets Mick Buffier, Peabody Energy’s Australian President Charles Meintjes and Director of Infrastructure and Economic Policy for Queensland Resources Council, Andrew Barger.
