CRC appoints new MD

CRC Industries Australia has appointed Shona Fitzgerald as managing director, replacing long term...

Lou Caruana

Fitzgerald brings experience in the industrial, mining and chemical sectors.

As well as a proven track record in commitment to quality, manufacturing and technical leadership, she has a brilliant skill set that dovetails well into the position, according to CRC.

Fitzgerald’s most recent role, as director of sales & marketing at ASSA ABLOY Group, saw her successful in the full range of the company’s markets – both mature and emerging.

Prior to this role, Fitzgerald’s underground mining and tunnelling sector experience at Orica is equally as valuable to CRC, the company said.

As global ground support manager (steel & chemicals), Fitzgerald successfully delivered challenging contribution margins and helped reduce costs while consolidating the customer base.

Throughout her career, she has built organic growth by introducing products and developing market strategies for global regions. She has skillfully phased in cultural change that focused on customer centricity and lean internal processes.

Mulligan will remain on-board to ensure a smooth transition.

CRC has planned for major investment and development of the Australian operation with a clear objective to double revenue within five years.

To achieve this, the company will add new products, acquire strong brands and strive to be “best in category”
