The plant has been operational for about nine months and is servicing a number of customers, including the Anglo Capcoal and Moranbah North mines.
The Queensland operation has been backed by personnel with extensive ground support experience. Jennnmar’s Queensland manager Tony Steains has had a long and successful career in the ground support service and supply industry, initially with Titan and Fosroc, and for the last three years with Jennmar.
He is supported by Jennmar Queensland technical manager John Naylor, a qualified mining engineer, also with a long-term involvement with ground support.
"I believe our Mackay plant is a model for efficient, safe manufacture of quality products," said Jennmar managing director Peter Roberts. "It really is a credit to our people in Mackay, who put it all together."
Since starting in Queensland three years ago, Jennmar have worked hard on contributing to the success of the mine industry in Queensland. The Mackay plant is part of this process as it shortens the supply chain and enhances product development initiatives.
The company said all Jennmar Queensland personnel are long term residents of North Queensland and the expertise they gather can only benefit the area and provide further depth to one of the fastest developing and exciting places in Australia.
