Punters have until July 29 to let their voice be heard among the global resources investment community on the best and worst places to develop a project.
The survey will include more than 70 countries from all continents covering Africa, North and South America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Risk categories in the survey include financial, sovereign, land access, environmental approval and conflict.
Australia’s states and territories and Canada’s provinces are also put under the microscope, with a special breakdown of these key resources development countries that have been consistent high performers.
It will enable the readers of RESOURCESTOCKS to identify regions considered low or high-risk by Australian companies and those further abroad, particularly in areas of political and bureaucratic control.
The survey’s results will offer insights into the risk profiles of countries where Australian companies are operating, as well as reports on major projects in various countries.
“On the domestic front, efforts are being made at both a state and federal level to reduce duplication across both the mining and oil and gas spaces to assist exploration and development of mines, especially in these capital constrained times,”RESOURCESTOCKS editor Anthony Barich said.
“It will be intriguing to find out how much traction this has had with those who are actually going out and taking much of the risk – the junior sector and its investors.
“While the United States won last year with the hype around unconventional hydrocarbons and its strong mining history gaining traction with investors, it will also be interesting to see how European countries fare, given the European Commission has set a bold target to head off its looming raw materials crisis at the pass, so to speak.
“Nordic countries have traditionally had a strong showing in our World Risk Survey before the US toppled them last year.”
The survey’s results and findings will be published as the cover story in the September-October issue of RESOURCESTOCKS, just in time for the International Mining and Resources Conference in Melbourne on September 22-26.
The conference will incorporate an investment program (the Mines and Money Australia segment), a policy program and a technology and skills program.
We welcome your participation in the World Risk Survey and ask that you take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire.
All answers remain confidential and your name and company will not be identified in analysis of the survey results.
By completing the survey, you will also have the opportunity to enter the draw to win a prepaid $250 Visa voucher PLUS a 12-month subscription to RESOURCESTOCKS or an Aspermont online publication of your choice.
