The new company, Hella Mining, will develop and produce a full line of mobile equipment lighting specially engineered for use in mining environments and applications.

“This venture provides two great and innovative companies with an ideal opportunity to work together in a very specialised and technically demanding field to produce a unique type of lighting," Hella Mining operations managing director Jim Grady said.

“The products we make are critical to mining safety and performance. They must be designed, tested and built to withstand a host of extreme environmental conditions, such as high impact, dust and humidity, while delivering low power consumption, durability, reliability and long life.

“Both of our companies possess the skill level, experience and proven technology that will be needed to meet the lighting needs of mining companies and mining support organisations in the US.”
