German Longwall Conference

On 13-14 June 2000 the Institute of Mining Engineering of the Aachen University of Technology, Germany, will run the Second International Symposium "High Performance Longwall Operations."

The first symposium in 1997 was attended by 300 international mining experts. Forty speakers from Germany, England, Poland, Slovenia, India, Australia and the US will discuss the following topics:

New technical developments, infrastructure for high-performance longwall operations, longwall operations of extended length, organization and planning, equipment availability and utilization. Conference fees are 300 Euro.
