Daliuta uses a Joy complete longwall system featuring a 6LS5 shearer, two 860 ton and two 7625kN shields, and an armoured face conveyor.
The setup is one of three complete longwall systems purchased for the Daliuta, Huojitu and Bulianta mines by Shenhua International Trading, part of Shendong Coal Corp.
The Shendong group is a state-owned enterprise currently developing the massive Shenfu coal field located about 1000km west of Beijing.
Reserves total 223 billion tonnes of low-sulphur bituminous coal, which occurs in seams of 4-6m thick, according to Joy.
Shenhua comprises nine companies involved in mining, rail, transportation, port construction and operation, coal trade and financing.
It has ordered an additional Joy shearer, to be delivered this year, which will bring its fleet of 6LS shearers to seven.
