New pullkey safety switch released

Stainless steel construction provides a corrosion resistant and robust finish requiring low maintenance. The unit has an ingress protection rating of IP66 (dustproof and protection from strong jets of water) and offers a reliable means of conveyor emergency stop for all types of materials handling applications.

There are two models available, one with pretension monitoring to AS 1755 and one without. Both possess identical features, with options including iMAC monitoring, iMAC remote isolation, pre start warning and flag indication applicable to either.

A local stop and latching function complies to the conveyor code with additional safety assured by a padlock off facility.

The fully enclosed pull mechanism, which has exceeded 40,000 test operations, ensures function reliability and prolonged service life. Fitted with two NO-NC contacts rated 240Vac 10A, the pullkey has external trip/reset operator and is suitable for an operating temperature range of -20o to +50oC.

In designing the new pullkey, Ampcontrol adopted a modular approach in that individual components are common to and complementary with other Ampcontrol products, including the voice communications system and iMAC conveyor monitoring. This in effect kept manufacturing costs low and the result is an economically priced safety switch that can very easily provide additional functions depending on the application requirements.
